The STAR Workplace program is designed to recognise and celebrate the achievements of
STAR employers and the dedicated employees that work within the organisation.
Based on years of research conducted by the HR Coach Research Institute, the STAR Workplace
Program is fast becoming a key measure of an organisation's ability to create Strategic

What is a STAR Workplace?

During our research, HR Coach found there was a gap in the market for businesses
in the small to medium sized sector ( SME’s) to effectively create great workplaces and gain
the recognition they deserved for their efforts. Terminology like "Employer of Choice" may
have implications for the corporate market, but lacks a tangible result for SME's.
The STAR Workplace Program was designed to address this gap and identify organisations
that are committed to creating engaged, productive workplaces. This means organisations
where the both the Employer and Employees have high levels of satisfaction with the workplace
and there is a clear focus on making strategy happen.
The team at GR8 HR Solutions will work with you to conduct the STAR Workplace assessment program
for your team. The entire Star Workplace program includes three simple steps:

1. Team Surveys
Your employees are provided with an individual survey which can be completed in an online or
paper based format. The information provided is completely confidential and individual
responses are only available to GR8 HR Solutions employees, for the analysis and compilation
of your STAR rating & Star Workplace report. The survey is designed to find out what
your employees think about the workplace and any suggestions for improvement.
In the report data, you will receive both positive and constructive feedback to help
celebrate and improve your workplace together.
2. One hour Meeting with the Business Owner/Manager
During the 1 hour meeting, we will conduct a survey session with the business owner/ manager
to measure your satisfaction with the workplace. The STAR Workplace program is one of the first
workplace programs that places employer satisfaction at the same level of importance as Team satisfaction.
The program measures how satisfied you are with the business and how well your team works together
to make your business strategy happen.
3. A STAR Workplace Survey Results Meeting
A results meeting is conducted with the business owner/ manager, to evaluate the report results
and Executive Summary. Businesses receive their individual business STAR Workplace rating.
Businesses also have an opportunity to commence work on developing an action plan for the future growth,
based on the results of your STAR rating.
What should you expect from your Report?
Most organisations commence the STAR Workplace Program because they want to highlight to themselves,
their employees and customers they are committed to creating an engaged and productive workplace.
It is also an effective way to highlight to future employees that your organisation is unique.
Beginning the program will help you achieve this but it’s the results you receive in the STAR

The STAR Workplace Report provides you with a series of quantifiable and easy to
understand results, clearly displaying whether your business needs are aligned with your people needs.

About the HR Coach Research Institute - STAR Workplace benchmarking system
The STAR Workplace benchmarking system was devised following extensive research conducted by the
HR Coach Research Institute on why strategy happens in some organisations and why in others it doesn’t.
This led to the development of the HR Coach Strategic Action Framework.
